BMW AIR HEAD ROUND AIR FILTER BOX STAINLESS STEEL BOLT KIT
This is a direct stainless steel replacement for the bolt that attaches the round air filter cover on BMW AIR HEAD TWIN motorbike. It is a direct replacement for BMW part number 13721254042 but is much easier to use than the original design. The disadvantage of the original long bolt is it very fiddly to get the end to engage in the threaded hole. The design solves this problem by bring the threaded hole much closer to the cover so a much shorter bolt can be used.
This is kit consists of the following stainless A2 stainless steel parts 1 length of threaded rod, one extended hex nut, 2 hexagon nuts and 1 caphead bolt, 5 parts in total.
Please note that these bolts are not polished and may have raised DIN identification marks on them.
Please note when fitting stainless steel bolts a small amount of copper slip grease should be used on the threads to ease removal.
